A fire of undetermined origin destroyed the Cynthiana home of Shelly Chesnut, a teacher at Grant County Middle School. Two small children died in the fire.

Two little girls lying in a single casket holding hands is an image Ron Livingood will never forget.

Livingood, superintendent of Grant County Schools, along with other administrative staff and nearly all of the teachers at Grant County Middle School,  traveled to Winchester for the funeral of Rachel and Jacquline Chesnut, children of Shelly Chesnut.

Chesnut has been a sixth grade science teacher for the last eight years at GCMS.
