Sometimes it can be fun at work! The City of Williamstown employees had a March Madness Bracket competition.
Instead of monetary winnings, the winning department would get a bit of time off and the overall winners would get to “give the Mayor (Mark Christopher) a haircut.” The Williamstown Police Department came out the winners.
The lowest scoring person “in the entire City Building” was Officer Sam Curtis.
His “penalty” was to give the mayor his haircut.
Christopher entered the April 16 city council meeting wearing a stylish fedora hat and a mustache reminiscent of Wyatt Earp. He then unveiled or “unhatted” to show the unique cut Curtis gave him: a reverse mohawk.
Although Christopher said he would be going to John Coleman’s barbershop the next morning, he first kept his promise to keep the hairstyle for the meeting.
