Leo Gerald Webster, 96, of Dayton, Ohio and formerly of Crittenden was born November 30, 1927 in Gallatin County, KY and died Friday, March 29 in Dayton, Ohio.

He was the son of the late Estill and Vevie Chapman Webster. He was a retired rural letter carrier for the US Postal Service, a U. S. Army Veteran, and a member of the Crittenden Christian Church. He was a member of the Crittenden-Dry Ridge Masonic Lodge, the Letter Carriers Association, a former tobacco farmer, and an active community volunteer who was recognized as a former Grant County Volunteer by the County Chamber of Commerce for his work providing transportation for cancer patients in need.

On December 20, 1947 he was united in marriage to his wife of 76 years, Hazel Louise Caldwell Webster who survives. In addition to his wife, also surviving is one daughter, Jennifer Susan (Matthew Michael) Leclaire of Bellbrook, Ohio.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 2 at the Crittenden Christian Church, followed by burial in the Crittenden Cemetery. Visitation will also be Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations are suggested to; the Crittenden Christian Church, ALZ.org, or the ohioshospice.org.
