Gilbert Roy Letner, 89, of Falmouth, passed away April 9. He was born in Helenwood, Tennessee on Wednesday, June 27, 1934 to the late Carrick and Truie Letner.

In addition to his parents, Gilbert is preceded in death by his wife Phyllis Evans Letner; a sister, Myrtle Moore; and his brother, Jimmy Ray Letner.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran who fought in the Korean War.

Gilbert is survived by his children: Michael (Shannon) Letner of Falmouth, Billy Rae (Sandy) Letner of Dry Ridge, and Gail Baker of Crittenden; and sister, Macle Mosley of Corbin Kentucky.

Visitation be at the Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home in Williamstown on Monday, April 15 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. with a funeral service at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Following the funeral service, Gilbert will be laid to rest at the Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Williamstown.
