    all has arrived with daytime temperatures in the 60’s and cool nights in the 40’s.  Frost is inevitable, of course, it happens every year so let’s get organized for the return of our tropical plants to the not-so-great indoors.

  • Preening the autumn garden

    All in all, we have had a decent summer with reasonable temperatures and adequate rainfall.  I think the marker for the summer of 2018 can go to the weeds!  So, as you address some fall weeding chores you may also want to do a little preening to give some of your annuals and perennials a facelift for fall.

  • Thanking Sheriff Dills for service to community

    After serving our community for nearly 3 decades, at the end of the month our current Sherriff, Chuck Dills will retire.  On behalf of all Grant Countians and as a member of the Fiscal Court I would like to publicly thank Chuck for his dedicated service.  Throughout the years Chuck has always been accountable, displayed great empathy and lead his department with integrity and pride.  Please join me in thanking Mr. Dills for his professional dedication to our community and wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors.   
     

  • My journey with Lori

    I had just turned 22 years of age. Lori was my second child. Dr. Shipp brought a beautiful baby girl, 6 pounds 2 ounces into this world. That was Tuesday, Dec. 14, 1985.
    Five days later, she attended The Antioch Church of Christ on Keefer Road. Mr. Florian Link introduced her to her church family.
