    The Grant County Braves won in overtime Feb. 9 in spite of a 51-point performance by Dohn Community High School’s Omari Green. The final score was 99-93.  

  • Ezell scores 1,000th point

    Grant County Lady Braves hosted Western Hills on Feb. 5 for a momentous occasion for Lady Braves senior Bry Ezell. Ezell reached the 1,000th point milestone in her career for the Lady Braves early in the second quarter of their blowout of the Wolverines 66-46.

    The Williamstown Demons defeated the Bellevue Tigers on Feb. 11 in a close 53-50 victory. Bryant Henson hit a three-point shot from right in front of the home bench with 24 seconds left to play to secure the win for his team. 

  • GCHS wrestler Thornton wins region, two head to state Feb. 15-16

    Grant County High School freshman Isaac Thornton is the school’s first wrestling region champion in six years. 

    Winning the 113-pound weight class in the Region 5 competition Feb. 9 at North Oldham High School, Thornton said he hopes to bring home another championship at the state tournament Feb. 15-16 at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington.
