     Charles ‘Ray’ Spegal, 85, widower of Jennetta Fay Armstrong Spegal, died Sunday, Dec. 3, 2017 at his residence. 

  • James "Buck" Rodgers, 72

    James A. “Buck” Rodgers, 72, died Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2017 in Edgewood. 

    He was born Oct. 4, 1945 in Covington and was the son of the late Lawrence “Mutt” and Edith Harris Rodgers.

    On Aug. 14, 1964, he was united in marriage to Nancy Fay Johnson Rodgers.  

  • Anna Eldridge, 100

     Anna Lee Rider Eldridge, 100, died Sunday, Nov. 26, 2017 in Williamstown.

    She was the daughter of the late George Washington and Melvina Nivens Rider.

    Hazel Bernie Woodyard, 89, of Corinth, died Sunday, Nov. 26, 2017 at her residence.  

  • Dr. James Watkins, 91

    Dr. James W.R. Watkins, 91, died peacefully, Monday, Nov. 13, 2017. 

    He was the son of the late W.M. Watkins and Edna Lee Murphy Watkins.

    Survivors include his ex-wife, Mollie Musgrave Watkins; daughters, Lauren Lee (David) Leatherbarrow of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Pamela Mari (Daniel) Shields of Dry Ridge and Jamie Ruth (Daniel) Semkow of Vero Beach, Florida and 10 grandchildren.

  • Betty Holland, 68

    Betty Alice Holland, 68, died Thursday, Nov. 16, 2017.

    She was born in Blackey, Kentucky and was the daughter of the late Willie and Anna Caudill Eldridge. 

    She retired from Johnson Control as a machine adjuster in the battery division after over 30 years of dedicated service.  She enjoyed UK Basketball, listening to music and traveling, especially going to the beach. Most importantly, she enjoyed her family and looked forward to spending time with them.

  • Raymond Lawrence

    Raymond G. Lawrence, died Tuesday, Nov. 14. 2017.

    He was the beloved father of Pamela (Rick) Sala, Donald (Wanda) Lawrence, Vicky (Dan) Rainey and the late Sue Ann Lawrence, devoted grandfather of Missy (Simon), Gina (Moto), Carina (Mike), Alicia, Felina, Kelli (Rick) and the late Bryun, and dear great-grandfather of 19 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. 

  • Carolyn Hurst, 70

     

    Carolyn Ann Thurman Hurst, 70, died Monday, Nov. 6, 2017 in Carrollton. 

    She was the daughter of the late Sam and Nellie Justice Thurman.

    Survivors include her companion, George Hurst of Williamstown; sons, Terry Hicks of Florida, Timmy Hicks of Tennessee and Glenn Hicks of Cynthiana; a daughter, Tammy Rexroat of Owenton; a sister, Linda Thurman of Sparta and several grandchildren.

  • Gladys Lucas, 97

    Gladys Bowles Lucas, 97, a long-time Williamstown resident, died Nov. 11, 2017 in Landrum, South Carolina.

    She was born Aug. 31, 1920 in Barren County and was the daughter of the late Jesse Harris and Fannie Walker Button Bowles.

    On March 9, 1941, she was united in marriage to Roscoe Clayton Lucas, who preceded her in death on Sept. 10, 1986 following 45 years of marriage.  

  • Jacqueline Gardner, 77

    Jacqueline Marie (Petrie) Gardner, 77, of Oklahoma, formerly Dry Ridge, died Saturday, Nov. 4, 2017. 

    She was the daughter of the late Bill and Wilena Petrie.

    Survivors include her daughters, Tammara Notestine, Deana Spears, Jamie Kellam, Jenny Roye and Johnna Gardner; three grandchildren, David Bailey,  Cason Spears and Cayla Brown and several great grandchildren.
