Veterans Day parade set for Nov. 11 in Williamstown

Williamstown’s inaugural Veteran’s Day parade and ceremony will be Nov. 11 at 10:30 a.m. 

Anyone can join the parade, which will line up behind the Williamstown Municipal building at 10 a.m. and the parade will conclude at the Grant County Justice Center on Main Street. 

Following the parade, a ceremony honoring veterans will begin, featuring guest speaker John Mustain. Mustain is a U.S. Army veteran and Director of Veteran Outreach for the Epilepsy Foundation of Kentuckiana’s Operation Outreach. 

Refreshments will be provided by the Williamstown Women’s Club. 

Following festivities, event organizer Storme Vanover said any veterans and their families are invited to the American Legion Post 0137 on 1106 N. Main St. for a free lunch provided by local Girl’s Scouts Troop #2039. 

“I love it, and I want everyone to come out and honor the veterans and have a big crowd to say thank you,” Vanover said.
