Harley Marksberry, daughter of Kenny and Susan Marksberry of Crittenden, graduated from Grant County High School with 13 years of perfect attendance.
Great attendance runs in the family as her brother, Derricke, had 11 years of perfect attendance and only missed two days of school in his tenure.
“I just wanted to beat my brother,” Marksberry said.
But her goal to conquer her brother’s feat almost came to a screeching halt her 7th grade year and resorted to calling her mom. “I called my mom and told her I was feeling really stressed out and that I wanted to go home,” Marksberry said, “My mom was able to talk me into staying though.”
Marksberry has received her CAN (Certified Nurse Assistant) from Grant County High School. She plans to attend Gateway Community College and transferring to Northern Kentucky University to get her doctorate. She wants to practice OB/GYN (obstetrics and gynecology) delivering babies.
