JROTC boosters appreciate support

-A A +A

On Sept. 18, the Grant County JROTC cadets hosted their fourth Annual Raider/Drill meet at the Grant County High School campus. With 16 schools participating, our JROTC cadets did an outstanding job conducting the day’s events. In addition to the cadets running the nine different events for the day, this was also one of the biggest fundraisers for the JROTC Booster organization. We prepared and sold food for the 800 participants and spectators, instructors and parents that came. This was also a great success because of parental involvement and community support.
We wish to thank all involved, whether it was volunteering to work, giving a monetary donation or supplying items that were needed to provide food to sell. The following is a list of the companies or individuals who made a contribution (if we have inadvertently left someone out, we apologize): Kelly Bros. Dry Ridge Lumber, Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, Corinth Marathon, Corinth BP, Wal-Mart, Grant County Oil, Martin’s Auto Electric, Wendy’s, McDonald’s, Ezy Stop, Gold Star, Food Lion, McDaniel’s Funeral Home, Marlene’s, Skinner’s, Cracker Barrel, Suburban Propane, Patsy Wainscott, Geri Colson, Java Jo’z, Trans America, Speedway, Peg’s, Pizza Hut and Dean Dairy.
We would also like to thank Sechrest Garage for coming to the rescue of Eastern High School. Their bus broke down and Sechrest Garage came and fixed it in the parking lot at no charge. We are truly grateful to have such wonderful community support.
