Icy roads sent several cars into ditches around Grant County on Jan. 8, but no one reported any serious wrecks or injuries.

Sheriff Chuck Dills said the sheriff’s office had to close Warsaw Road after two tractor-trailers and nine cars slid off the road early in the morning.

He also said a state truck overturned on Elliston Mt. Zion road around 5:45 a.m. because of icy roads.

Two cars, including a Williamstown Police cruiser, slid off the road on Stewartsville Road, and two cars ran off the road on Osborne Road.
