  • Lady Braves fall to Gallatin...

     The Lady Braves gained control of the opening tip against the Gallatin County Lady Wildcats on Dec. 12 at home.


    The night started off well and the Lady Braves looked  as if they were going to do exactly what they were trying to accomplish until Gallatin County came out strong with 20 unanswered points in the first quarter of the game.

  • HOOPLA

    The Grant County Braves and Williamstown Demons battled each other on Nov 4th at the first of two meetings between the two teams.
     The Braves came out on top with a 88 to 47 victory against the Demons.

    The Grant County Braves came out motivated and strong to put up 56 points in the first half and only allowed the Demons to score 23 points.
    Austin Anglin put up an impressive 23 points during the game with Tyler Carr adding on an additional 20 points to help the Braves earn a victory.

  • Lady Demons beat Paris Greyhounds

    The Williamstown Lady Demons shut out the Paris Greyhounds on Nov. 30 at WHS, securing the season’s second win in as many games.
    Williamstown’s varsity cheerleaders coined the phrase “Greyhounds are all bark and no bite” for the evening, which proved true as the Lady Demons led the game for the entire game and put on a good show for the considerable crowd.


    The young Demons team played like seasoned upperclassmen, leading 27-17 at the half.

  • DOUBLE TROUBLE

    The Williamstown High School Lady Demons and Demons basketball teams hosted Covington Latin for a season-starting double header Nov. 27 at WHS.


    Lady Demons second year head coach Kasey Kennedy started five freshmen against the   Lady Trojans and carried an early lead that they held throughout the game, finishing the first half with a 32-29 lead.

  • WHS hosts archery tournament Dec...

    Williamstown High School will host an archery tournament on Dec. 8.
    Cost is $5 per shooter to compete, then admission is free or $3 for adults and $2 for students. Children under 5 and two coaches per team are free.


    Flight times are: 10 and 11 a.m., noon and 1 and 2 p.m.
    The noon flight time will be for parent/student competition. The 2 p.m. flight time will be for adult competition.
    There will be 40 archers per flight. Shooters must register a half hour before their flight time.

  • COACHES VS. CANCER CONTINUES...

    The Grant County and Williamstown school districts have agreed to kick off fundraising for the 2013 Grant County Relay For Life with the Coaches vs. Cancer event held during the Grant County vs. Williamstown boys and girls basketball games.
    Thes second game is scheduled for Dec. 14 at WHS. A portion of the proceeds from each of the four games will be donated to the relay, which is the signature fundraising event for the American Cancer Society.
