  • Lady Braves easily win season...

    The Grant County Lady Braves basketball team started off their season with a bang on Nov. 28, beating the Pendleton County Lady Cats 60-20.
    The Lady Braves were led by sophomore Bry Ezell with 19 points, senior Madisyn Ruebusch with nine points and Tiana Thornberry, Lindsay Kinard and Carrigan Ruber all with six points.
    Grant County started out fast paced and ready to play as they quickly gained a lead over the Lady Cats.

    When Grant County High School started their first-ever wrestling team Cody Miskell’s sophomore year, he was more than happy to be one of the first on the roster.

    As a little kid, watching UFC fights and movies like “Rocky” with his dad ultimately inspired him to be as rough and tough as the people he saw on screen.

    He knew he wanted to fight just like them.
    Cody’s high school wrestling career was nothing but a success.

    The Grant County Braves football team were bounced from the first round of the playoffs after a 51-7 loss to Fern Creek Traditional High on Nov. 4 in Louisville.  
    The final game of the season was typical of the way things have gone for the Braves the last few games of the season.  
    Less than two minutes into the game, Fern Creek’s Kyree Hawkins ran in the first score of the game and his team never looked back.  
    They would score 37 first half points.
