Unlike in 2010, when the cross country teams ran in pouring rain, the sky was blue and the sun was shining down on Sherman Elementary for the 38th annual Grant County Invitational Sept. 10.
“I do better in heat so it helped me out a lot,” Braves senior Tyler Edmondson said.
Edmondson ran a personal best 17:17 in route to a 19th place finish individually.
“Out of 200 runners, to finish in the top 20, it felt really good to get a medal,” he said. “I set a personal record by about nine seconds.”
