    Painter turns barns into canvases

    Most people enjoy lying on the beach or visiting family and friends during vacation.

    For Williamstown resident Terry Rayburn, painting is her relaxation.

    “It’s my greatest pastime,” she said. “It’s the only thing I like to do.”

    Rayburn has transformed two barns on her Lawrenceville Road property into canvases the past two years while away from her job at Bank of Kentucky inside Wal-Mart.

    Her latest work was finished in June and features Jesus overlooking moonlit, rolling mountains and pine trees.

    Students earn trip to Orlando with...

    The skills they learned in class took two Grant County High School students all the way to Florida.

    Jackie Frost and Jennifer Bowling traveled to Orlando over the summer to the Students Taking Action for Recognition national convention, which is part of the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America national organization.
