Hutchinson graduates from Campbellsville

Recently, the University of the Cumberlands (UC) recognized Raul Maya of Dry Ridge, among 63 other undergraduate students as being a Hutton scholar during their annual commencement ceremony in the O. Wayne Rollins Center.
The Hutton Leadership and Community Service program is a four-phase program providing leadership training and community service opportunities for UC students.

BRAVES END SEASON 14-15; HIGHLIGHT IS WIN OVER COLLINS

Coach Darrin Robinson used three words to describe the GCHS Braves baseball team this season: exciting, challenging and unfinished.
Robinson said the Braves played one of the toughest schedules in the state. High points in the season included a win over undefeated Collins who at the time was 22-0 and ranked number two in the state, as well as wins over several other top 25 teams.
“We played and did everything right against Collins,” he said.

NKU offers ExploreMore summer program

The NKU Grant County Center in Williamstown in partnership with NKU’s Institute for talent development and gifted studies is offering the ExploreMore Program from 9 to 11:30 a.m. from June 3 through June 6.

Darrell Link began his career in politics with an appointment to the Grant County Tourism Commission. He went on from there to be elected to the fiscal court as a magistrate, followed by a successful run for judge-executive in 1998.
He’s served on numerous boards and commissions and received awards for partnering with other agencies on programs, for being a good neighbor, an outstanding official and for his work in the community.
