    This is more like it.

    After spending two years on death row with Billy Clyde at the helms of my beloved Wildcats, Coach Cal in his first three years has UK where I want, scratch that, need them to be every year... competing for a national championship.

    My heart breaks and a little piece of me dies every time UK loses.
    Luckily, I have only came near death twice this season when we fell to the hated Hoosiers and the usually overmatched Vandy Commodores.

  • With regrets, you can rot in Denmark

    "With regrets, you can rot in Denmark. That’s what she gets for breaking my heart." Those are my only two replies to the numerous emails I have received about the desperate situations some of you have found yourself in over the past few months.

    It seems while traveling some of our citizens lost their money and emailed me from their intelligent phones asking for assistance. I’ll change the names to protect the proposed guilty.

  • Bus driver offers formal apology for crash

    This is addressed to the children that were on Grant County School Bus #062 on Jan. 17, 2007. It is also addressed to your families, my own loved ones and everyone else whose life was touched by the morning’s fateful accident.

    As the five year anniversary passes, I can not let this go another day. I have always been advised not to contact the victims, but my own heart compels me to do so. There were so many victims affected by the accident, including my own daughters.

    Williamstown is in a strong financial position, thanks to past mayors and city councils that developed and expanded our utilities.  While financially sound, I realize, as mayor, that we must watch all expenses in this tough economic time. What’s been going on during the last year?
