    ‘Dear leader’ in White House has little business experience

    During these hot summer days, the little people have their Kool-Aid and lemonade stands set up—making and selling and giving change.
    Already these young people, ages 6 to 10, have more business experience than the ‘dear leader’ in the White House.

    Coulson offers heartfelt thanks
    Since drawing the winning key on July 11, 2009, which started the car at Grant County Drugs, I have been trying to write this letter. I just couldn’t seem to find the words. Now, I have so many people to thank—I hope the Grant County News will give me the opportunity.

    First, I would like to thank my daughter, Angel Coulson and my husband, Eddie for entering my name. I was 66-years-old this year, this is the first time I have had a car in my name. Thank you.

    Ark park violates U.S. Constitution
    I hope you folks in beautiful Grant County have better things to do with your money than fight a lengthy legal battle up through the courts by several First Amendment groups opposing government money for the proposed ark park. This is such a blatant violation of the U.S. Constitution’s wall of separation between church and state that many are surprised to see that government funding was even solicited.

    Stop ‘big oil’ tax give-aways

    Check the price at the pumps when you go through Dry Ridge; it should be heading down, said my husband on Friday, May 13. When I phoned home, the news was that the price had increased from $3.99 to $4.15—and it was all the local stations. Just stunning!

    Elderly, low income saved thousands on tax prep

    I want to thank the community for the support it provided to the AARP Taxaide effort.

    We were able to assist over 140 clients prepare their tax returns or answer their tax questions. This adds up to over $28,000 in savings for these elderly and mid to low income individuals whose budgets would be greatly affected by paying a paid preparer.
