The New Year came crashing into Grant County on Monday, Jan. 2 when Old Man Winter dumped snow and ice causing multiple accidents involving around 75 vehicles.
Interstate-75 looked like a demolition derby as vehicles slammed and bumped into each other when blowing snow and icy roads took motorists by surprise and snarled traffic for hours.
The first accident occurred around 11 a.m. just south of the 156-mile marker in Dry Ridge and involved eight vehicles. The second accident involved a camper and two tractor-trailer trucks.
