  • Faulkner family plans benefit for teen

    Josh Faulkner is used to working with families of sick patients. But in a matter of just days he went from a nurse to sitting by his teenage son’s bedside and hoping for a miracle.
    Faulkner, a Grant County native, lives in Pensacola, Fla. with his wife, Jessica, and four children.

  • Paint the Town was a success!

    It’s hard to believe that winter finally seems to have moved on and spring has finally sprung. It was a long-time coming, but now that the weather has turned warmer the days are flying by.
    April is nearly over and it feels like the calendar page just turned.
    I was most impressed with this year’s observance of Child Abuse Prevention Month. The Grant County School District made a concerted effort to take their message to the public with a Blue Ribbon/Pinwheel Decorating Contest and a community breakfast held at Grant County High School on April 9.

    David Jump is the Williamstown High School Youth Performance Award winner for April.
    He is a senior at WHS and is the son of Tina and Jeff Jump of Corinth.  
    How would you describe yourself? Easy to get along with, a hard-worker and I can do anything I put my mind to.
    Extra-curricular activities: Basketball

    What is your community involvement? Volunteer around the community to help others in need.

    Class schedule: Health, library, life skills and English.

    “It’s a huge change; it looks so much better!”  Those were the words from my wife after I finished spreading bag after bag of red mulch around our home.  She is right, it’s amazing how putting down new mulch can make flower beds and landscaping look.
