  • CRAVE MOBILE VISIT RE-SCHEDULED

    The Dry Ridge Fire Department Relay For Life Team’s White Castle Crave Mobile fundraiser has been rescheduled for Sept. 6.
    The Crave Mobile, which suffered mechanical failure, will be set up at the Dry Ridge City Building.
    All proceeds will go to the DRFD Relay For Life team.

  • GOLF SCRAMBLE TO BENEFIT KSP TROOPER ISLAND

    Kentucky State Police Post 6 in Dry Ridge will host a golf scramble to raise funds for the 2014 Trooper Island Camp.
    The fundraiser will be June 27 at Eagle Creek Country Club. Registration begins at 8 a.m. with the scramble set to start at 9 a.m.
    The entry fee is $60 per person or $240 per team. Registration forms can by obtained by contacting Trooper David Jones at 859-428-5609.

    Trooper Island Camp is a non-profit organization that operates solely on private contributions.

  • Ghost tour to raise funds for Sherman Tavern restoration

    Have you ever seen a ghost?
    Now is your chance as The Friends of Sherman Tavern will host a paranormal ghost tour at Sherman Tavern from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. June 28.
    The cost of the tour is $25 with all proceeds going to the restoration of the Sherman Tavern historical site.
    Eddie Parks of northern Grant County will lead the tour with the Tri State Shadow Chasers, a group he founded in 2008.

  • City race deadline is Aug. 12

    The filing deadline may still be two months away, but the first candidate for a non-partisan city race has turned in his paperwork.
    Vincent S. Stephens has filed to run for mayor of the city of Dry Ridge.
    The May primary has set up multiple races in November for county offices, including judge-executive, jailer, clerk and magistrates, pitting a Republican against a Democrat.
    However, non-partisan candidates who would like to run for mayor and city council or commission seats in Williamstown, Dry Ridge, Crittenden or Corinth have until 4 p.m. Aug. 12 to file.
