  • James Butch Barlow named 2017 Williamstown Veteran of the Year

    James Butch Barlow, who was born on March 29, 1947 to the late Eddie and Helen Barlow, was recognized by the City of Williamstown as the 2017 Veteran of the Year on Nov. 10 at a ceremony at Williamstown High School.  

  • Crittenden Council suggests taxing district to solve EMS funding

    Crittenden City Council seemed unimpressed by Dry Ridge Mayor Jim Wells’ EMS cost-sharing plan during a Nov. 7 meeting. 

    Instead, Crittenden asked about alternatives to the plan, including the creation of taxing districts as a way to pay for an ever-increasing EMS service budget Dry Ridge has funded for the last 17 years. 

  • Country Christmas to kick off holidays

    Grant County will be getting into the Christmas mood early with the annual Country Christmas event Dec. 2 in downtown Williamstown.

    The Grant County Chamber of Commerce has organized Country Christmas, formerly known as Santa’s Wonderland, for the last 14 years.

    Cindy McClure Sheldon was in a head-on collision on Sept. 14 on U.S. 25.  

    Sheldon has been in University of Cincinnati Medical Center trauma surgical I.C.U since the accident.
