  • INDICTMENTS

    The grand jury, which met June 11, returned indictments against 31 people.
    The indictment of a person by a grand jury is an accusation only and that person is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
    Those indicted were:
    • Mandy D. Webb, 18, receiving stolen property over $500 but less than $5,000 and theft by unlawful taking or disposition of property with a value under $500.

  • GOLF SCRAMBLE TO BENEFIT KSP TROOPER ISLAND

    Kentucky State Police Post 6 in Dry Ridge will host a golf scramble to raise funds for the 2014 Trooper Island Camp.
    The fundraiser will be June 27 at Eagle Creek Country Club. Registration begins at 8 a.m. with the scramble set to start at 9 a.m.
    The entry fee is $60 per person or $240 per team. Registration forms can by obtained by contacting Trooper David Jones at 859-428-5609.
     or 859-391-9501.
    Trooper Island Camp is a non-profit organization that operates solely on private contributions.

  • Nineteen-year-old faces multiple sex-related charges

    The Kentucky State Police Post 6 in Dry Ridge arrested  19-year-old Alec Franks of Grant County on May 20 on multiple sex-related charges.  
    KSP Detective Troy Brooks investigated a complaint that Franks had intercourse with an underaged female.  
    Franks was interviewed and placed under arrest at the Dry Ridge Post.  
    After being advised he was under arrest, Franks ran to the front door of the Post building in an attempt to escape.

    The grand jury met May 3 and returned indictments against 21 people.
    The indictment of a person by a grand jury is an accusation only and that person is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
    Those indicted were:
    • Justin O. Rodgers, 31, possession of a controlled substance in the first degree, possession of a controlled substance in the second degree, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and rear license not illuminated.

    Officer David Osborne cited Tad H. Smail, 20, of Dry Ridge, with speeding, at 2:28 p.m. May 7 on Arnie Risen Boulevard.
    Officer Brad Morris executed a warrant for Mahlik Hamilton, for non-payment of fines, at 12:33 a.m. May 9 on McCoy Road. Hamilton was lodged at the Grant County Detention Center.

    Deputy KJ Little executed a warrant for Dodge McClure, 20, of Dry Ridge, for flagrant non-support, at 7:30 p.m. May 1 on Elliston-Mt. Zion Road. McClure was lodged at the Grant County Detention Center.
    Deputy KJ Little executed a warrant for Joy L. Perez, 37, of Dry Ridge, for failure to appear, at 11:13 p.m. May 3 on I-75. Perez was lodged at the Grant County Detention Center.

    Chief Rick Kells executed a warrant for Ashley Wainscott, 27, of Dry Ridge, for probation violation, at noon April 21 on S. Main Street. Wainscott was lodged at the Grant County Detention Center.
    Officer David Osborne cited William Luke O’Nan, 21, of Dry Ridge, with speeding, failure to produce insurance card and no registration plates, at 4:49 p.m. April 23 on S. Main Street.
