  • INDICTMENTS

    The grand jury, which met June 11, returned indictments against 31 people.
    The indictment of a person by a grand jury is an accusation only and that person is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
    Those indicted were:
    • Mandy D. Webb, 18, receiving stolen property over $500 but less than $5,000 and theft by unlawful taking or disposition of property with a value under $500.

  • GOLF SCRAMBLE TO BENEFIT KSP TROOPER ISLAND

    Kentucky State Police Post 6 in Dry Ridge will host a golf scramble to raise funds for the 2014 Trooper Island Camp.
    The fundraiser will be June 27 at Eagle Creek Country Club. Registration begins at 8 a.m. with the scramble set to start at 9 a.m.
    The entry fee is $60 per person or $240 per team. Registration forms can by obtained by contacting Trooper David Jones at 859-428-5609.
     or 859-391-9501.
    Trooper Island Camp is a non-profit organization that operates solely on private contributions.

    Officer David Osborne cited Brandon Childress, 25, of Dry Ridge, for no registration plates, failure to produce insurance card and operating a motor vehicle with expired operators license, at 5:20 p.m. March 14 on Arbors Drive.
    Officer David Osborne cited Lou E. Taylor, 59, of Dry Ridge, for speeding, at 1:12 p.m. March 18 on Arnie Risen Boulevard.

    Chief Rick Kells executed multiple warrants for Jason D. Gilbert, 22, of Dry Ridge, for assault in the fourth degree and failure to appear, at noon on March 9 on Ferguson Boulevard. Gilbert was lodged at the Grant County Detention Center.

  • KSP raffle features iconic brand

    Kentucky State Police, in order to support its Trooper Island Camp for underprivileged children is selling raffle tickets for a chance to win a new 2017 Jeep Wrangler Sahara Winter Edition 4x4, an iconic U.S. brand that shares the same heritage as the vehicle American GIs rode to victory in World War II.

    Officer Kyle Wallace executed a warrant for Amanda M. Riess, 37, of Dry Ridge, for failure to appear, at 11:16 p.m. Feb. 27 on Meadowview Drive. Riess was lodged at the Grant County Detention Center.

    Officer David Osborne cited Satelliah A. Smith, 31, of Crittenden, for no registration plates and failure to appear, at 8:01 p.m. Feb. 23 on Broadway Street.
    Officer David Osborne executed a warrant for Matthew Ratcliff, 25, of Dry Ridge, for failure to appear, at 4:32 p.m. Feb. 24 on Michigan Avenue. Ratcliff was lodged at the Grant County Detention Center.

    Officer David Osborne executed a warrant for Ralph H. East Jr., 44, of Crittenden, for non-payment of fines, at 9:48 p.m. Feb. 8 on Taft Highway. East was lodged at the Grant County Detention Center.
