  • INDICTMENTS

    The grand jury, which met June 11, returned indictments against 31 people.
    The indictment of a person by a grand jury is an accusation only and that person is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
    Those indicted were:
    • Mandy D. Webb, 18, receiving stolen property over $500 but less than $5,000 and theft by unlawful taking or disposition of property with a value under $500.

  • GOLF SCRAMBLE TO BENEFIT KSP TROOPER ISLAND

    Kentucky State Police Post 6 in Dry Ridge will host a golf scramble to raise funds for the 2014 Trooper Island Camp.
    The fundraiser will be June 27 at Eagle Creek Country Club. Registration begins at 8 a.m. with the scramble set to start at 9 a.m.
    The entry fee is $60 per person or $240 per team. Registration forms can by obtained by contacting Trooper David Jones at 859-428-5609.

    Trooper Island Camp is a non-profit organization that operates solely on private contributions.

    Officer David Osborne charged Steven Ray Ware III, 25, of Corinth, with receiving stolen property under $500, at 3:18 p.m. July 10 on Cordova Road. Ware was lodged at the Grant County Detention Center.

    Deputy Gary Carey executed a warrant for Mahlik I. Hamilton, 21, of Dry Ridge, for failure to appear, at 3 p.m. July 3 on S. Main Street. Hamilton was lodged at the Grant County Detention Center.

    Officer David Osborne cited Dorothy L. Wilson, 72, of Williamstown, for speeding, at 6:56 p.m. June 29 on Arnie Risen Boulevard.
    Officer David Osborne charged Robert G. Curry, 42, of Dry Ridge, for theft by unlawful taking or disposition of property (shoplifting) with a value of $500 or more but less than $10,000, at 4:57 p.m. July 1 on Ferguson Boulevard.

    Officer David Osborne cited Anthony Campbell, 20, of Williamstown, with following another vehicle too closely, at 9:42 p.m. June 21 on Arnie Risen Boulevard.
    Officer David Osborne executed a warrant for Alyssa J. Duncan, 26, of Dry Ridge, with probation violation, at 7:13 p.m. June 15 on Meadowview Circle. Duncan was lodged at the Grant County Detention Center.

    Deputy Bobby Webb executed a warrant for Lora Manning, 31, of Dry Ridge, for failure to appear, at noon June 11 on S. Main Street. Manning was lodged at the Grant County Detention Center.

    The grand jury met June 14 and returned indictments against 30 people.
    The indictment of a person by a grand jury is an accusation only and that person is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
    Those indicted were:
    • Kevin Duane Havens, 56, five counts of possession or viewing of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor.
    • David Benjamin Tucker, 63, possession of a controlled substance in the first degree, operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia and speeding.
