An inmate at the Grant County Detention Center did not return to the facility last week after a judge let him out to attend a family funeral.
Anthony Houston, 23, of Dry Ridge, was granted a furlough to attend a funeral in Dry Ridge, but when family members returned him to the facility on May 23, he jumped from the vehicle and ran into the woods.
Grant County Jailer Terry Peeples said the Kentucky State Police were notified and began searching for Houston soon after he ran around 7 p.m.
