    Deputy Scott Conrad investigated an accident at 3:59 p.m. Nov. 8 on Elliston-Mount Zion Road. The driver involved was Jackie L. Whiteker, 58, of Dry Ridge driving a 2008 Harley Davidson that ran off the roadway.

    Deputy Brian Maines investigated an accident at 4:36 p.m. Nov. 6 on Indian Hill Drive in Crittenden. The drivers involved were Jesse C. May, 34, of Crittenden driving a 2003 Chevrolet and Michael K. Duley, 41, of Crittenden driving a 2001 Ford.

    Deputy John Money executed a warrant for Erik Harper, 28, of Dry Ridge at 11:30 a.m. Nov. 16.

    Deputy Andy Reeves executed a warrant for Christopher D. Prater, 37, of Williamstown at 12:25 p.m. Nov. 16. Prater was lodged at the Grant County Detention Center.

  • Indictments 11-12-09

    The grand jury, which met Oct. 14, returned indictments against eight people.

    An indictment means there is probable cause to believe a crime has been committed; guilt or innocence is established later through the trial procedure.

    Those indicted were:

    • Jefferson M. Hamilton, 28, for second-degree burglary and receiving stolen property over $500 but less than $10,000.

    • Carl Scott, Jr., 34, for second-degree burglary, receiving stolen property over $500 but less than $10,000 and for being a persistent felony offender.
