  • Indictments 7-22-10

    The grand jury, which met July 14, returned indictments against 20 people.

    An indictment means there is probable cause to believe a crime has been committed; guilt or innocence is established later through the trial procedure.

    Those indicted were:

    • Cheerie Rae Mullins, 59, seven counts, theft by failure to make required disposition of property over $300.

    • Regino Gabriel, 19, assault, first degree, wanton endangerment, first degree, operating a motor vehicle under the influence, first offense and no operator’s license.

    Chief Rick Kells investigated an accident at 1:17 p.m. June 30 on S. Main Street. The drivers involved wre Gregory S. Ellis, 37, of Dry Ridge, driving a 2002 Saturn and John Patrick, 48, of DeMossville, driving a 2004 Chevrolet.

    Chief Rick Kells charged Bernadette Messer, 29, of Dry Ridge, with alcohol intoxication in a public place at 7:50 p.m. June 12 on Redwood Drive. Messer was lodged at the Grant County Detention Center.
