    Chief Rick Kells investigated an accident at 10:20 a.m. Aug. 13 on Ferguson Boulevard. An unknown driver hit a parked 2000 Chevrolet owned by Judy Gutierrez of Dry Ridge.

    Sgt. Andy Reeves investigated an accident at 12:59 p.m. July 7 on Spears Lane. The drivers involved were a juvenile, 16, of Williamstown, driving a 1999 Ford and Florence D. Thomas, 49, of Walton, driving a 2000 Ford.

  • Indictments 7-22-10

    The grand jury, which met July 14, returned indictments against 20 people.

    An indictment means there is probable cause to believe a crime has been committed; guilt or innocence is established later through the trial procedure.

    Those indicted were:

    • Cheerie Rae Mullins, 59, seven counts, theft by failure to make required disposition of property over $300.

    • Regino Gabriel, 19, assault, first degree, wanton endangerment, first degree, operating a motor vehicle under the influence, first offense and no operator’s license.
