  • Clarification

Clarification — In a story from March 8 about the Williamstown City Council's 2016-2017 fiscal year audit, Mayor Rick Skinner said although the general fund lost about $800,000, that did not include money supported by their PILOT funds from their utilities, which revenues totaled $9,579,394 and expenses accounted for $7,496,565 for a profit before depreciation of more than $2 million. Skinner said he was happy that the city has a $2 million profit before depreciation. After depreciation, the city's profits total $465,822, according to Skinner.
