Will. Schools, Crown Services promote Footsteps to Brilliance

Williamstown Independent Schools, Williamstown Head Start and Crown Services are working together to promote an app called Footsteps to Brilliance to promote kindergarten readiness.
There will be a grill out in three neighborhoods. Hot dogs and popcorn are free, along with information on F2B to help parents/relatives prepare their children for school and decrease the summer slide in elementary-aged children.

WILSON NAMED YPA WINNER

Ethan Wilson of Dry Ridge is the Grant County High School Youth Performance Award winner for April.
He is a senior at GCHS and is the son of Amber and Jerid Wilson.

Extra-curricular activities: I play baseball. I am the varsity baseball catcher and am also on the varsity soccer team.
Community involvement: I am a member of Sherman Church of Christ and Sherman Baptist youth group.

Favorite class or classes and why: My favorite class is math class. I love learning new things everyday and being challenged.

GC Schools caution parents about ‘13 Reasons Why’ show

Grant County Schools joined many districts across the state and country that have recently cautioned parents about the recent Netflix series “13 Reasons Why” and its focus on teenage suicide.

The popular series, based on the bestselling book by author Jay Asher, chronicles the suicide of a young woman who leaves behind a series of 13 messages for specific people in her life that she blames for her death.
Grant County Schools posted a message on its Facebook page and website about the series.
