  • Grant County High School Star Student 9-25-14

    • Grant County High School football player Hunter Lawson won the Beacon Orthopedic Performer of the Week.

    • Williamstown High School National Honor Society inducted its newest members, including Billy Carpenter, Karyna Davis, Michaela Disibio, Gabriela Espicio, Chastity Evans, Megan Garrison, Nicole Giesbers, Lauren Harmon, Cassidy Hess, Jeffrey Jackson, Avery March, Carly Middleton, Rachel Montgomery, Brett Robbins and Hannah Scroggins.

  • WHS Band of Spirit places sixth overall

    Name of competition:  2014 Ryle Tournament of Bands

    Location and date:  Ryle High School in Union.

    Ranking and any awards:   Received second place in Class A with a score of 65.1.  Beechwood was first place with a score of 67.30.  Overall, the band placed sixth (regardless of class).  The band placed sixth in the finals with a score of 67.05.

    announces spring Dean’s List
    Local students have been named to the dean’s list for the winter/spring terms at Centre College, an honor reserved for students who maintain at least a 3.60 grade point average.
    • Ryan Eldridge is the son of Karen Iseral and Bryan Eldridge, both of Crittenden and is a graduate of Grant County High School.
    • Dean Faulkner is the son of Clarence and Kathy Faulkner of Williamstown and is a graduate of Williamstown High School.
