Megan Schultz graduated from The University of Kentucky with Summa Cum Laude with Honors and a Bachelors in Biology from on May 6, 2012. She is the daughter of Michael P. Schultz of Dry Ridge and Theresa Harris of Dry Ridge.

She started her education at Crittenden Mt. Zion Elementary School followed with Grant County Middle School and then Grant County High School where she graduated as salutatorian or second in her class. She will be returning to The University of Kentucky this fall to study medicine.

Grant Wallace of Crittenden received a bachelor of science in chemistry at the 189th commencement ceremony at Centre College. Janet H. Brown, executive director of the Commission on Presidential Debates (CPD), was the featured commencement speaker. The Class of 2012 is the largest in Centre’s history. Members of the class include three Fulbright recipients; two Peace Corps volunteers; and two Teach for America corps members. In addition, 67 students graduated with honors: seven summa cum laude, 24 magna cum laude and 36 cum laude.

The group of about 400 students that congregated at Western Kentucky University recently had three things in common, their college-ready ACT or SAT scores, their seventh-grade standing in school and the incredible potential that combination creates. The following accomplished middle schoolers visited WKU to attend the Kentucky Recognition Ceremony for the Duke Talent Identification Program hosted by The Center for Gifted Studies.
