  • SAFETY FIRST

A gunshot rings out from the hallway at Williamstown High School.
Sitting inside a nearby classroom, Molly McComas immediately jumps up from her seat to shut and lock the door.
Inches away from being closed, the doorway is breached by a sudden intruder, dressed in red protective padding and armed with a gun and a knife.
McComas uses all her strength to force out the attacker while a fellow staff member pins the man’s gun-armed hand in the doorjamb.
The man never gets inside as a Kentucky State Police trooper blows his whistle.
