  • GCHS students compete at FCCLA Nationals

    Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) brought more than 7,000 student leaders, members and advisers to the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas to participate in the 70th annual National Leadership Conference.

  • Marksberry graduates with perfect attendance

    Harley Marksberry, daughter of Kenny and Susan Marksberry of Crittenden, graduated from Grant County High School with 13 years of perfect attendance.
    Great attendance runs in the family as her brother, Derricke, had 11 years of perfect attendance and only missed two days of school in his tenure.
    “I just wanted to beat my brother,” Marksberry said.

    What is the one thing you’ll miss the most after retirement: “Having to miss the people I worked with and hopefully helped others with their insurance issues.”

  • Williamstown Band marches on after season ends

    The Williamstown “Band of Spirit” Band Program has been busy since the end of the 2013 competitive marching band season.
    The winter months brought about pep band for the Demons boys and girls basketball teams, Northern Kentucky Select Bands, KMEA District 6 Middle School Concert Band Assessment Event, Eastern Kentucky University Honors Band event, KMEA District 6 Solos and Ensembles Assessment Event and the KMEA District 6 High School Concert Band Assessment Event.
