  • Dry Ridge business offers surprise

     

    If you’re looking for an unexpected surprise, smack dab in the middle of Dry Ridge, then you’ve found Serendipity, a new business venture among five friends.

    Serendipity is open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The shop is an older brown, brick home on Broadway and is full of furniture, some old, some newer and some re-purposed with a snazzy coat of paint. It also features original art, paintings, antiques and jewelry.

    “We just want this place to be a pleasant surprise when people stop in,” said Paul Jacob.

    Recently, the Funeral Directors Association of Kentucky celebrated their 131st annual convention at the Hyatt Regency Hotel and at the Kentucky International Convention Center in Louisville. 

    The convention was attended by funeral directors, suppliers and their families. 

    Doug Stanley of Elliston-Stanley Funeral Homes was elected for the 2013-2014 year as the president-elect.
