    Don Hubbs constantly hears the hum of “tick tock” all around him. He’s well aware of time passing as he’s spent the last 40 years making quartz clocks.
    Hubbs, of Dry Ridge, began his fascination with time when he started constructing clocks in Richmond in 1975.
    He stopped making clocks for a time, but after meeting and marrying his wife, Janie, a Florida native, the idea of mastering time appealed to both of them.

    Brian Linder has joined the Florence office as a residential real estate specialist for Sibcy Cline Realtors.
    Linder currently serves as Kentucky State Representative of the 61st District including parts of Boone, Kenton, Grant and Scott counties. Linder has prior experience as a manager of key accounts in the utility industry. He is certified as both an Energy Auditor and a Key Account Manager. Linder has a Master of Business Administration degree from Thomas More College and a Bachelor of Science degree in secondary education from the University of Kentucky.

  • Ghost tour to raise funds for Sherman Tavern restoration

    Have you ever seen a ghost?
    Now is your chance as The Friends of Sherman Tavern will host a paranormal ghost tour at Sherman Tavern from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. June 28.
    The cost of the tour is $25 with all proceeds going to the restoration of the Sherman Tavern historical site.
    Eddie Parks of northern Grant County will lead the tour with the Tri State Shadow Chasers, a group he founded in 2008.
