• Allan Forsythe, 64

    Allan Lee Forsythe, 64, of Penfield, N.Y., formerly of Williamstown, died Monday, July 30, 2012.
    He was the son of the late Harold Forsythe and Mildred Forsythe Kennedy of Williamstown.
    Survivors include his wife, Nancy Forsythe; daughters, Darlene Sivakto, Diane Eaby and Doris Perry, all of Maryland.
    Memorial services were held on Aug. 18 at the  Richard H. Keenan Funeral Home  in Penfield, NY.

  • Dallas Ward, 73

    Dallas E. Ward, 73, of Florence, died Thursday, Aug. 9, 2012, at his home.
    He was the son of the late Lauchey and Ella Abshire Ward.  
    Survivors include his wife, Audrey Kells Ward of Florence; a son, Shawn L. Ward of Florence and a daughter, Tonya Ward-Brock of Williamstown.
    Funeral services were held on Aug. 14 at the Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home in Williamstown.
    Burial was in the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery in Williamstown.

  • Louis ‘Bud’ Conrad, 87

    Louis C. ‘Bud’ Conrad, 87, of Dry Ridge, died Aug. 11, 2012,  at the St. Elizabeth Hospital in Grant County.

    Bud was a person of many jobs; his last work was hauling water in Owen and Grant counties. He was known to many people as the “water man.” Bud was a farmer, former co-owner and manager of Grant County Farm Supply and a member of the Dry Ridge Baptist Church. He was a World War II Army veteran and a founding member of the Jonesville Volunteer Fire Department.

  • Doris Mabe, 81

    Doris Jean Mabe, 81, of Corinth, died Sunday, July 29, 2012, at the St. Elizabeth Hospice Center in Edgewood.
    Survivors include her daughter, Nora Cook of Corinth; a sister, Mary Sue Statham of Fla., two grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
    Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.

  • Mark Breeden, 61

    Mark Wayne Breeden, 61, of Crittenden, died Monday, July 30, 2012 at his residence in  Crittenden.
    Survivors include his mother, Ann Martin of Crittenden and brothers, Joe Duncan of Clearwater, Fla. and Donald Lewis Breeden of Richwood.
    Visitation will be  from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. with funeral service at 12:30 p.m. August 6 at the Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home in Crittenden.
    Burial will be in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery-North in Williamstown.

  • Ramona Gehlhausen, 75

    Ramona H. Gehlhausen, 75, of Corinth, died Monday, July 30, 2012, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Florence.
    Survivors include her sons, Terry Allen of Corinth, Frank Allen of London, Danny Allen, Paul Allen and Hughie Allen, all of Lancaster; brothers, Fred Hammonds of El Paso, Texas and Don Hammonds of Mooresville, Ind.; a sister: Rajamah Drake of Terra Haute, Ind.; eight grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
    Funeral services were held on Aug. 2 at McDaniel Funeral Home in Corinth.
    Burial was in the Danville Memorial Gardens in Danville.

  • Norman Dunn, 79

    Norman W. Dunn, 79, of Williamstown, died Friday,  Aug. 3, 2012, at the St. Elizabeth Hospital in Williamstown.

    Norman retired with 35 years of service from the Western-Southern Life Insurance Company. He was born in Cordova to the late Floyd and Roxie Milner Dunn. He was a United States Air Force veteran and a member of the Sherman Church of Christ. He held a bachelor’s degree in commerce from the Salmon P. Chase College.

  • Arnold ‘Flash’ Risen, 87

    Arnold “Stilts” Risen, 87, a resident of Pepper Pike, Ohio and formerly of Williamstown, died Saturday, August 4, 2012, in Beechwood, Ohio.
    He was a son of the late John Denny and Elvira Scroggins Risen.
    “Flash”, as he was known locally, was a 1942 graduate of the Williamstown High School where he was named “Alumni of the Year” in 2012. He attended Eastern Kentucky University and Ohio State University where he played on two NCAA “Final Four” basketball teams.

  • Jimmie Hubbard, 64

    Jimmie Hubbard, 64, of Williamstown, formerly of Barbourville, died Saturday, July 28, 2012,  at St. Elizabeth Hosptital in Grant County.
    Survivors include his sons, Randy and Jimmie Hubbard, both of Williamstown; daughters, Eddith Joslin of Maysville and Rosie Marler of Barbourville; a brother, Eddie Hubbard of Barbourville; sisters, Eddith Roberts and Mary Carter, both of Barbourville; 16 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

  • John Little, 59

    John E. Little, 59 of Walton, died Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at University of Cincinnati after an automobile accident in Glencoe.
    Survivors include his wife, Anita Little of Walton;  daughters, Cindy Lee Cox of Williamstown, Lisa Ann Taylor of Walton and Aimee Lynn Thomas of Bowling Green; a brother, James Dorsey Little of Lexington; sisters, Bonnie Cosmah of Union, Wanda Collins of Lexington and Darlene Knight of Florence; nine grandchildren and one great grandchild.
    Funeral services were held on July 27 at the Walton First Baptist Church.
