• Forster Brown, 77

    Forster Brown, 77, of Williamstown, died Wednesday, October 20, 2010, at St. Elizabeth Hospital-Grant County.

    He was a former employee of the Ohio State Highway Department and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean war.

    He was the son of the late Jack and Mary Alice Helton Brown.

    Survivors  include his wife of 56 years, Lilly Sandlin Brown; daughters, Rhonda Jewell of Mason, Ky. and Debbie Treadway of Morrow, Ohio; sisters, Ola Williams of Lebanon, Ohio and Pearlie Coldiron of Clarksville, Ohio; five grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

  • Marie Coldiron, 83

    Marie Smith Coldiron, 83, died, Saturday, Oct. 23, 2010, at St. Elizabeth Healthcare Grant County in Williamstown.

    Survivors include her sons, Eugene Coldiron of Ocala, Fla, Steven Coldiron and Mark Coldiron, both of Crittenden; a daughter, Barbara Toole of Dry Ridge; a brother, John L. Smith of Independence; a sister, Leetta Doelling of Ft. Worth, Texas; nine grand children, 10 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

    Funeral services were held Oct. 27 at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home in Crittenden.

    Asenath Miracle Julien, 66, of Williamstown, died, Thursday, Oct. 21, 2010.

    Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Donald B. Julien; her mother, Veldie Miracle of Williamstown, a son, Daniel Andrew Julien of Oxford, Mich.; daughters, Catherine Marie Buckel of Fostoria, Mich. and Michele Ann Pope of Williamstown; brothers, L. Gary Miracle of Lake Orion, Mich., Kenneth W. Miracle of Vevay, Ind. and Dennis Miracle of Williamstown; sisters, Kay Burns of Williamstown, Brenda Bitler of Holly, Mich. and Sandra Miracle of Williamstown and four grandchildren.

  • Robert Johnson, 48

    Robert D. Johnson, 48, of Dry Ridge, died Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2010, at his residence.

    Survivors include his wife, Debbie Johnson; daughters, Brittany Johnson, Eric Scroggins, Rebecca Johnson and Brandy Johnson, all of Dry Ridge; his mother, Alberta Johnson of Dry Ridge; a sister, Kathy Susan Arnold of Dry Ridge and one grandchild.

    Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.

    Eckler-McDaniel Funeral Home in Dry Ridge was in charge of arrangements.

  • Robert Marquette, 40

    Robert Marquette, 40, of Cincinnati, Ohio, formerly of Grant County, died Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2010 at Ohio Ross Heart Hospital in Columbus.

    Survivors include his wife, Jamie Marquette of Cincinnati; parents, Robert and Miriam Marquette of West Chester, Ohio; a daughter, Jay Lynn Marquette of Cincinnati; sons, Julius Marquette of Cincinnati and Corey and Daniel Smith of Mt. Healthy, Ohio; brothers, Jonathan Marquette of Fairfield, Ohio and Zachary Marquette of Cincinnati and his maternal grandmother, Cecilia Calvo of Guam.

  • Anna Dixon, 69

    Anna Kathryn Dixon, 69, of Corinth, died Sunday, Oct. 24, 2010, at Dover Manor Nursing Home in Georgetown.

    Survivors include her daughters, Kathy Faye Jones and Alice New, both of Corinth and  three  grandchildren.  

    Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Oct. 28 at McDaniel Funeral Home in Corinth. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Oct. 29 at the funeral home.  

    Burial will be in the Raven Creek Cemetery in Harrison County.

  • Joyce Anderson, 80

    Joyce Cook Anderson, 80, of Florence, formerly of Grant County died Friday, Oct. 15, 2010 at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood.

    She is survived by daughters, Benita Utz of Burlington and Janet Wickline of Frankfort and three grandchildren.

    Funeral services were held Oct. 17 at Eckler-McDaniel Funeral Home in Dry Ridge. Burial was in the Hill Crest Cemetery, Dry Ridge.

    Michael Bowling, 59, of Verona died at his residence Sunday, Oct. 17, 2010.

    Survivors include sons, Michael L. Bowling and Andrew Bowling of Independence; daughters, Amy and Misty Bowling of Fort Pierce, Fla.; his step-mother, Elaine Bowling of Florence; a brother, Robert K. Bowling of Lawrenceburg, Ind.; sisters, Helen C. Huffman of Berry, Kathy Robinson of Latonia and Patti Ashcraft of Verona; a step-brother, Mike Petty of Verona; a step-sister, Connie Adkins-Ihle of West Chester, Ohio; six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

  • Ronald Magee, 83

    Ronald Magee, 83, of Burlington, formerly of Grant County, died Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2010, at his residence.

    He was the son of the late William and Mirtie Wright Magee.

    He was a maintenance supervisor for over 20 years at Revlon in Cincinnati, Ohio and served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

    He was a member of the Walton First Baptist Church, where he served as a former deacon.

  • Daniel Madden, 75

    Daniel Madden, 75, of Dry Ridge, died Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2010, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood.

    Survivors include his wife, Nola Madden; a son, Charles D. Madden of Dry Ridge; daughters, Debra Ann Stoots of Corinth and Patricia Rae Plunkett of Dry Ridge; brothers, Donnie Madden of Laurel, Ind. and David Madden of Connersville, Ind.; sisters, Sylvia Cavins and Loretta Beach, both of Dry Ridge and five grandchildren.

    Funeral services were held Oct. 16 at Eckler-McDaniel Funeral Home in Dry Ridge.

    Burial was in the Hill Crest Cemetery in Dry Ridge.
