    Gayle Martin, 82, of Dry Ridge, died on Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2008, at Grant Manor Health Care Center in Williamstown.

  • Tommy Callahan, 78

     Tommy Callahan, 78, of Williamstown, died on Friday, Nov. 7, 2008, at Georgetown Community Hospital in Georgetown.

    Callahan was a truck driver and an Army veteran. He was also a member of Mount Pleasant Church of Christ.

  • Lilburn Jones, 82

     Lilburn Jones, 82, of Demossville, died on Friday, Nov. 7, 2008.

    He was born in Campbell County on Aug. 6, 1926 and was the son of the late Walter and Lula Jones.

  • Kenneth Short, 60

     Kenneth R. Short, 60, of Williamstown, died on Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2008, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington.

    Short was a sheet metal worker at R.A. Jones Company. He was also a U.S. Army veteran.

  • Augusta Liggett, 95

     

    Augusta G. Liggett, 95, of Madiera, Ohio, formerly of Corinth, died on Sunday, Nov. 9, 2008, at the Deaconess Hospital in Cincinnati.

  • Carol Pennington, 67

     Carol S. Carnes Pennington, 67, of Owenton, died on Monday, Oct. 20, 2008.

    She was born on Oct. 25, 1940. She was the daughter of the late Wallace and Amy Marie Blair Carnes. 

  • Sgt. Daniel Wallace, 27

     Sgt. Daniel Wayne Wallace, 27, of Dry Ridge, died on Friday, Oct. 31, 2008, in Afghanistan while serving with the Kentucky National Guard.

  • Darius Pettit, 59

     

    Darius C. Pettit, 59, of Dry Rige, died on Friday, Nov. 7, 2008.

    Pettit was a retired truck driver and a member of Clarks Creek Baptist Church in Dry Ridge.

  • Ollie Owen, 82

     

    Ollie B. Owen, 82, of Dry Ridge, died on Saturday, Nov. 8, 2008, at the St. Elizabeth Medical Center South in Edgewood.

  • William Seal, 78

    William Bruce Seal, 78, of Dry Ridge, died on Sunday, Nov. 2, 2008.

    Seal was a retired manager for Square D Corp in Lexington and Florence. He was also a member of the Fairview Christian Church in Williamstown and a Korean War Navy veteran.

    Survivors include his wife, Geneva Mason Seal of Dry Ridge; daughters, Cheryl Lynn Buffin, Mary Mitchell Seal and Nan Lee Brown, all of Nicholasville, and Gerri Ann Klatterbuck of Cincinnati; stepdaughter, Devonda Munson of Dry Ridge; son, Scott Seal of Mercer County, Ky.; several grandchildren; and great grandchildren.
