     June Poor Jenkins, 83, of Pendleton County, died on Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2008, at Grant Manor Health Care Center in Williamstown.  

    Jenkins was a homemaker and a member of Mount Carmel Baptist Church. She also attended Roanoke Christian Church were she served as Sunday school teacher and sang in the choir.

  • Viola Smith, 101

     Viola Smith Lee, 101, of Corinth, died on Saturday, Nov. 22, 2008, at the Dover Manor Nursing Home in Georgetown.

    Lee was a homemaker and a member of Porter Christian Church in Sadieville. 

  • Billie Perry Knipfer, 87

     

    Billie Perry Knipfer, 87, of Williamstown, died on Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2008, at Harborside Health Care Facility in Florence.

    Knipfer was a retired cafeteria cook for Conner Jr. High School and a member of Florence Baptist Temple.

  • Steven Schmid, 19

     Steven Schmid, 19, of Dry Ridge, died on Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2008, at University Medical Center in Cincinnati.

    Schmid was a cook and cashier at a restaurant.

  • Toni B. Gilbert, 56

     Toni B. Gilbert, 56, of Williamstown, died on Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2008, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center Grant County.

    Gilbert was a waitress at Food Service.

  • Thurman L. Noel, 85

     Thurman L. Noel, 85, of Dry Ridge, died on Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2008, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South in Edgewood.

    Noel was a retired factory worker at Natico in Florence and a farmer. He was also a Navy veteran of WWII and a member of Crittenden Baptist Church.

     Mary Crosswaite, 91, of Williamstown, died on Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2008, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center Grant County in Williamstown.

    Crosswaite was a homemaker and a member of Bethany Baptist Church in Williamstown.

    Ollie B. Owen, 82, of Dry Ridge, died on Saturday, Nov. 8, 2008, at the St. Elizabeth Medical Center South in Edgewood.

  • Flora Skirvin, 79

     Flora Wren Skirvin, 79, of Williamstown, died on Sunday, Nov. 16, 2008.

    Skirvin was a seamstress for Sizemore Manufacturing in Walton, sewed balls for McGregor Manufacturing in Williamstown and a waitress at Mitt’s Restaurant in Williamstown. She was also a member of Williamstown Baptist Church in Dry Ridge.

  • Charles Bowen, 73

     

    Charles R. Bowen, 73, of Demossville, died on Sunday, Nov. 16, 2008.

    Born on Feb. 14, 1935 in Pendleton County, he was a son of the late Herbert Russell and Mary Edna Barton Bowen.
