    Wayne Burden, 59, of Dry Ridge, died Friday, July 4, 2014, at his residence.
    He was the son of the late Leo Kenton Burden and Janett Crase Burden Elam of Verona.

  • Helen Cruey, 88

    Helen Kathryn Fredrick Cruey, 88, of Williamstown, died Sunday, July 6, 2014, at Grant Center in Williamstown.
    She was the daughter of the late Lenard and Mary Ellen Vaughn Fredrick.
    Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to noon with funeral services being held at noon on July 11 at the Elliston Stanley Funeral Home in Williamstown.
    Burial will be at the Hill Crest Cemetery in Dry Ridge.

  • LaRue Howard

    LaRue Rogers Howard, of Florence, died Sunday, July 6, 2014, at Florence Park Care Center.  
    Survivors include a son, David L. Howard of Lexington; a daughter, Mary Jane Hensley of Frankfort; two grandchildren, four great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild.  
    Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to noon with funeral services being held at noon on July 10 at the Corinth Christian Church.
    Burial will be in the Corinth Cemetery.


    Betty Jo Noble, 74, of Hazel, formerly of Dry Ridge died Wednesday, June 25 at her home.
    Survivors include her husband, Billy Noble; three daughters, Patty Ritchie of Hebron, Sheila Ulrich of New Carlisle, and Amy Burnett of Fairborn; a son, Brian Noble of Fairborn; three sisters, Alma Byrd of Crittenden, Pat Emerson of Walton, and Dorothy Pyle of Burlington; a brother, Richard Owens of Burlington; and several grandchildren.
    Funeral services were June 30 at the Crittenden Baptist Church.
    Burial was in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Dry Ridge.


    Deborah Ann Hall Brashear, 62, died Saturday, June 28, 2014 in Edgewood.
    She was the daughter of the late Clarence Elwood and Bertha Mae Kingery Hall.
    Survivors include her husband, Harold Donald Brashear of Warsaw; a daughter, Angie Akins of Warsaw; a son, Jeff Brashear of Warsaw; a sister, Millie Little of Fairview; two grandchildren and two great grand children.
    Funeral services were held on July 1 at New Life Church of God in Napoleon.
    Burial will be in Napoleon Cemetery


    Denver L. Smith, 82, of Florence, died Saturday, June 29 at St. Elizabeth Florence.
    Survivors include his wife, Wilma Smith; a son, Gary Smith of Erlanger; two daughters, Marilyn Helmer of Verona and Denise Smith of Florence; a sister, Mary Mastin of Norwood; a brother, Danny Joe Smith of Milford; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
    Funeral services were July 3 at McDaniel Funeral Home in Corinth.
    Burial was in New Columbus Cemetery in Owen County.


    Lloyd L. Biddle, 93, of Crittenden, died Saturday, June 28 at home.
    Survivors include his wife, Doris Biddle; two daughters, Sharon Rogers of Crittenden and Penne Reynolds of Indianapolis; four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
    Funeral services were held on July 2 at the Eckler-McDaniel Funeral Home, Dry Ridge.
    Burial with military honors was in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North in Williamstown.


    Ronald “Tody” Beach, 71, of Walton, died Monday, June 30.
    Survivors include his wife, Rose Beach; two daughters, Bonnie Carrington of Milton, and Shelby Beach-Taylor of Newman; a son, Ron Beach of Walton; a brother, Bobby Beach of Crittenden; and eight grandchildren.
    Funeral services will be held at noon July 3, 2014 at the Hamilton-Stanley Funeral Home in Verona.  
    Burial will be in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North in Williamstown.

  • Billy Collinsworth, 88

     Billy H. Collinsworth, 88, died Wednesday, June 11, 2014, at the St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood. 
    He was the son of the late John Taylor and Florence Lykins Collinsworth.
    Survivors include his wife, Juanita Collinsworth; a son, Gary Gilmore of Milford, Ohio; daughters, Paulette Gould of Miamisburg, Ohio and Cindy Jo Butler of Reading, Ohio; sisters: Dean of Salyersville and Wanda of Franklin, Ohio; eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. 

  • Terry Fryman, 56

    Terry E. Fryman, 56, of Dry Ridge, died Saturday, June 14, 2014, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Florence.  
    He was the owner of Fryman’s Produce, formerly worked for Grant County Foods and Comair and was a member of the Northern Kentucky First Church of God.
    He was preceded in death by his father, Rev. Russell Fryman, Jr. in 2013 and by a brother, Russell D. Fryman in 1957.
