  • Super Survivor Sunday is May 5

    Nearly everyone knows someone who has been impacted by cancer.
    In honor of cancer survivors, caregivers and family and friends affected by cancer, Sunday, May 5 has been designated as Super Survivor Sunday by the Grant County Relay For Life Committee.
    The Grant County Relay For Life Committee is encouraging all Grant County churches to recognize and honor their cancer survivors in some way on Sunday, May 5 for Super Survivor Sunday.

    Lauren Poer is the Williamstown Elementary School Intermediate Student of the Week. She is 12-years-old and is in the sixth grade. She was selected by her GLOW teacher. At school she participated in GLOW and Odyssey of the Mind. She is also a junior cheerleader and band member. Math is her favorite subject.

  • Creative fundraising helps pay for mission trips, Grant relay

     

    The feathers are a flying in Grant County these days.

    A flock of wild birds, ranging in colors from hot pink to deep purple, have been popping up in yards all over the county. The birds stay a day or two and then for a small fee will move on.

    The “You’ve Been Flocked” campaign is a fundraising effort by Williamstown Baptist Church to raise $32,000 to send five adults and 15 youth group members to a mission camp in Haiti this summer.
