    Mulligan

    The 11th annual Mulligan reunion was held Sept. 6 at the Harrison County Fairgrounds 4-H building, with 45 members present.

  • Jimmy Dan Hedger and Tasha Epperson of Dry Ridge, announce the birth of their first child.

    Hagen Cole Hedger was born at 1:50 p.m. on June 3, 2008, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood.

    He weighed 7 pounds, 7 ounces and was 22 inches long.

    His maternal grandparents are Danny and Donna Wright of Owenton.

    His paternal grandparents are James and Carol Hedger of Dry Ridge.

    His paternal great grandmother is Mary Hedger of Dry Ridge.

    Hagen Cole was welcomed home by his sister, Haley Jane.

  • Ellis and Mary Baker will celebrate their 63rd anniversary on Nov. 10.

    Ellis and Mary Barker were married by Bro. Bedingar at Walton, Ky.

    The Bakers have six children. Their names are, Ron Baker of Smyrna, Tenn., Pamela Iseral of Dry Ridge, Patty Ingram of Chattanooga, Tenn., Jeff Baker of Dry Ridge and the late Missy and Steven Baker.

    The couple has 18 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

    Ellis is a retired farmer. His wife, Mary is a retired housewife and farmer.

  • The skills they learned in class took two Grant County High School students all the way to Florida.

    Jackie Frost and Jennifer Bowling traveled to Orlando over the summer to the Students Taking Action for Recognition national convention, which is part of the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America national organization.

  • Amy and Troy Gutman of Williamstown announce the birth of their fourth child.

    Adam Gutman was born at 1:39 a.m. on July 11, 2008, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center.

    He weighed 9 pounds, 3 ounces and was 21.5 inches long.

    His maternal grandparents are Betty and Bill Rudd of Springfield, Ky.

    His paternal grandparents are Barbara and Wade Gutman of Dry Ridge.

    Adam was welcomed home by Emma, Ethan and Aaron.

  • Bro. Mason Barker, who spent years working as the founder and director of Storehouse Ministries in Covington, has agreed to become the new volunteer director for the Grant County Helping Hands ministry. His wife, Barbara has also agreed to volunteer to be his assistant. They are excited to volunteer their help because they truly believe they have become part of a ministry which reaches out God’s hands to help the local community.

    • The Corinth Lions Club will meet at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 22 at Noble’s.

    • The Grant County Democratic Executive Committee will meet at 7 p.m. Oct. 23 at the Williamstown City Building.

    • The Grant County Saddle Club will meet at 7 p.m. Oct. 23 at Grant County Deposit Bank in Dry Ridge, located at the intersection of Ky. 22 and Warsaw Road. All will gather in the meeting room on the second floor. Call President Lois Shuler at 824-0738 with any questions.
