  • Vince Gabbert, a native of Williamstown, has left the Governor’s office and will gallop to Keeneland.

    Gabbert, the son of Eddie and Rosie Gabbert, served as Gov. Steve Beshear’s Deputy Chief of Staff where he had a wide range of duties including overseeing boards and commissions, constituent services and outreach to local, state and national officials.

  • Camille Woods and Joey McClanahan were united in marriage on Sept. 19 at 2380 Hogg Ridge Road in Williamstown.

    The bride was given in marriage by the groom’s father, Jim McClanahan.

    Tabatha Nelson, sister of the bride of Blaine, Tenn., served as the maid of honor.

    Brandon Jones, cousin of the groom of Corinth, served as the best man.

    Jason Fletcher, a friend of the groom, and Bradley Leonard, a cousin of the groom, both of Williamstown, served as ushers.

  • Buck and Elaine Sargent of Dry Ridge announce the marriage of their daughter, Lori Daugherty to John Cook, son of Nancy and Howard Willenborg of Demossville.

    The couple was married in Gatlinburg, Tenn. on Sept. 19 in the presence of close friends and family.

    Brittany Daugherty, daughter of the bride, was the maid of honor. Mike Reenan, a friend of the groom, served as the best man.

    After the ceremony, the group enjoyed dinner at the Peddler Steakhouse.

    The couple are living in Dry Ridge.

     

  • Dean and Debbie Colson of Dry Ridge are pleased to announce the upcoming marriage of their son, Matthew Dean Colson to Shelley Ann Mathers, daughter of Dan and Cheryl Mathers of Milford, Ohio.

    The couple will be married on Oct. 3, 2009 at the First Baptist Church of Glen Este.

    Colson is employed by BBN Sales in Cincinnati. Mathers is employed at Roth CPA in Montgomery, Ohio.

    The couple will reside in Milford.

  • Shane and Trista Collier of Williamstown would like to announce the birth of their first child.

    Jeremiah Allen Collier was born at 9:15 a.m. Sept. 26, 2009 at St. Elizabeth South.

    He weighed 7 pounds and 6 ounces and was 20.75 inches long.

    His maternal grandparents are Larry and Sabra Hutcherson of Corinth. His maternal great grandparents are Ruth Tate of Burlington and the late Paul Tate.

    His paternal grandparents are Jeff and Betty Collier of Williamstown. His paternal great grandparents are Melvin and Mary Gay of Lawrenceburg.

  • Gary and Bess Lovelace will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Sept. 26, 2009.

    The Lovelace’s lived in Dry Ridge before moving to Pendleton County eight years ago.

    The couple has three sons, Greg and Tom Lovelace and the late Mike Lovelace, three grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

    A celebration of their anniversary will be held from 2  to 5 p.m. on Sept. 27 at the Farm Bureau Building at 400 Main Street in Falmouth.

    The family requests no gifts.

     

  • Mr. and Mrs. Larry Ruby and Mr. and Mrs. Rick Skinner are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Ashley Skinner to Jason Woodruff, son of Debbie Woodruff and Mr. and Mrs. Kerry Woodruff of Dressden, Tenn.

    The bride is a 2004 graduate of Williamstown High School and has been employed by Dr. R. Lenaghan for the past four years. The groom is a 2003 graduate of Grant County High School and is also employed by Dr. R. Lenaghan.

    The wedding will be held at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 3 at Williamstown Baptist Church.

  • Michael and Ginna Beach of Guntersville, Ala. would like to announce the birth of their first child.

    Karter Anthony Beach was born at 7:46 a.m. Aug. 24, 2009 at Huntsville Hospital.

    He weighed 7 pounds and 11 ounces and was 21 inches long.

    His maternal grandmother is Sue Hanson of Attalla, Ala.

    His paternal grandparents are Jaunita Beach and the late David Beach of Dry Ridge.

    Karter Anthony was welcomed home by his big sister, Kelci, and big brother, Kyle.
