    I was born on Aug. 14, 2007 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Edgewood.

    My parents are Rob and Brandy Bosse of Dry Ridge.

    My grandparents are Bobby and Freddie Bosse of Dry Ridge, Glenna McComas of Williamstown and Philip and Pamela Dalton of Crittenden.

    My favorite things to do are ride Papaw’s tractor, play outside, feed my puppies, swim, ride Daddy’s Kubota and play with my baby sister.

  • The family and friends of Ray Sechrest are invited to share in the celebration of his 93rd birthday at 5 p.m. Aug. 14, at 491 Humes Ridge Road, Williamstown.

  • Originally known as the Methodist Episcopal Church, the Jonesville United Methodist Church celebrated two milestones on July 25—100 years of ministry and a new pastor who has moved into the parsonage.

    The church celebrated their anniversary with the return of former pastors, who reminisced about the past and presented possibilities for the future.

  • Damon and Linda Mounce, of Dry Ridge, celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary.

    They were married in Cincinnati on June 14, 1980.

    The couple renewed their vows, on June 14, 2010, at the Wedding Chapel in the Glades in Gatlinburg, Tenn. The Rev. Dan Saffelder officiated.

    The Mounces have a daughter, Breanna.

  • Grant County welcomed home one of its own local heroes on July 29.

    Johnathan Manning Stroude came home from a tour in Iraq just in time to celebrate his 26th birthday, which was July 31. He was among 167 troops who returned home safely.

    While serving in Iraq, Stroude received a promotion to specialist (E-4) and an award for meritorious conduct.

    Stroude was welcomed home by many loved ones and friends at the Old Worthington Homestead in Sherman. Everyone expressed appreciation for his service and for the service of all troops who serve.

  • Melissa Ann Kyle of Dry Ridge became the bride of Jeffrey Ross Burger on May 8, 2010, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Fairfield, Ohio.  

    The bride’s parents are Nancy and James Hudson of Dry Ridge and Mark and Lisa Kyle of Carrollton.  

    The groom’s parents are Diane and Ron Cantrell of Fairfield and Ken and Diane Burger of West Chester, Ohio.    

    The bride wore an ivory strapless satin Oleg Cassini ball gown with a bodice of beaded embroidery and a chapel length train. A cathedral veil completed her attire.
