  • Brian Melton joined St. Elizabeth Physicians Dry Ridge full-time at the end of Jan. 2017.
Melton finished his nurse practitioner program at Northern Kentucky University in December 2016. Melton said it was an easy transition as his dad, Gary Melton, built the office 36 years ago and he spent a great deal of his childhood in the office.

  • The issue: Sin, the results? Search for escape from the reality of the sinful state of mankind.
Our communities are being bombarded by Satan’s lies and deception, forever appealing to the desires of the “natural”, the fleshly desires to satisfy the soul-mind, emotion, and will. Satan, and the evil demonic spirits in this world continues as in the first murder when Cain murdered his brother Abel, in providing alternatives and escape of the truth of the necessity of Christ.

  • We gave up on the raspberries a couple of years ago, their fruit was so perishable and the plants lacked vigor.
We would cut the ‘Royalty’ raspberries all the way to the ground each year and forgo an early crop to manage disease but it didn’t seem to pay off.  It was never a total loss, but about half the canes would be dried up and diseased by now.
One problem that materialized is a condition called “doubles”, which is caused by a virus, as are most bramble troubles.

  • One of the biggest differences that I see the more I am in ministry is that the American Church and the First Century Church pray for different things.
I know that is not a shocker for most of us. Now some of the things we pray for are quite obviously not what God would have us pray for. For example, I remember watching someone buy a lottery ticket one day and turn around to pray over that ticket.
Now that is clearly not something that we believe God is going to answer yes to right?

  • You know all the jokes about people having bumper crops of summer squash?  Squash shows up in people’s cars or in public spaces because there is so much that the gardener can’t even give it away.
I have a little bit of that problem this year and I give credit to the variety and the fact that it was plated later than usual.  I also planted loads of it!  Some folks, however, may not be so blessed with a bumper crop.
