  • Downtown Williamstown was filled with people Oct. 5 as The Gallery Coffee Shop sponsored a live standup comedy fundraiser for the Free Lunch Kitchen.
    During the day, prior to the show, The Gallery hosted an art exhibit that featured the art of local past and present artists.

  • Corn Pudding

    2 (15 ounce) cans whole kernel corn, drained
    4 tablespoons flour
    2 teaspoons sugar
    1 teaspoon salt
    2 eggs, beaten
    1 tablespoon margarine, melted
    2 cups fat free milk

    1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
    2. Grease 1 ½ quart baking dish.
    3. Mix corn, flour, sugar and salt together in a large bowl.
    4. Combine well-beaten eggs, melted margarine and milk.
    5. Pour into corn mixture and stir to mix.
    6. Pour into prepared baking dish.

  • As I sit here and prayerfully petition the Lord what to write to you, there is one question in the Word that is clear in which, He is leading my heart too. The question can be found as spoken by the prophet Elijah to the so-called prophets of that false god Baal.
    Elijah yells to the top of his lungs from Mount Carmel, “How long halt ye between two opinions? If the Lord be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him.”

  • There is a spirit of new life in the old white frame church building on Heekin-Lawrenceville Road.

    Since January 2017, the growing ministry of Clover Mission Baptist Church, which now includes the Williamstown Homeschool Co-op, has called the former Mt. Olivet Christian Church building home.

  • I remember watching the “Lord of the Rings” movies for the first time. In the beginning of the story, the viewer is immediately introduced to the Shire, a place that can only be described as a simple, light-hearted state of innocency.
