• The Community Thanksgiving Service will be at 7 p.m. at Williamstown Baptist on Nov. 18. All are welcome.
• Kent and Paige Parrish visited last Sunday.  It was great to see clips of lives that were saved and healed of serious illnesses, plus overcoming poverty and being educated.

Lewis came to me the other day and after admitting that he had used an illegal drug he said, “I can’t help it. I know I shouldn’t hang out with those guys but they are my friends. Besides that, I have a “ompulsive disease” that I cannot control and this “disease”  is incurable, progressive and fatal. My addictions counselor at church even told me so! I can’t help it! I can’t control it! I will always have it, and will probably go back to using drugs from time to time.”

• Oct. 26 – Oct. 27 – A four-hour prayer chain at the church will be starting at 9 p.m. Friday evening through 9 p.m. Saturday. We have people praying all night. Feel free to stop by to pray or for special prayer. We are praying for our country, our church, missionaries, salvation and healing for souls, including our families and friends. We believe our faithful God will answer our prayers in the name of Jesus according to His will. The church is located in Williamstown.

This month is set aside in the Christian world as Pastor Appreciation Month. From my experience as a pastor, I want to encourage you to consider what most pastors desire when it comes to the people of the church.  Take the opportunity this month to show your appreciation to your pastor, but think through what he desires. From my experience, pastors certainly enjoy gifts, money, cards etc…. but pastors that I know desire something a little less obvious.  There are four things you can do to show appreciation to your pastor.
