    Dry Ridge Christian Church (Disciples of Christ)
    • Rev. Paul Mansfield will deliver the sermon at Sunday Services.
    • The Christian Church Assembly is being held in Nashville this week. Representing Dry Ridge Christian Church is Rev. Wayne and LaDonna Barnett, Elnora Howe and Judy Slayback.

  • WHAT’S HAPPENING?

    Full Plate Ministry to provide free meal
    The Dry Ridge Christian Church will sponsor the Full Plate Ministry from 5 to 6:30 p.m. July 30 in the fellowship hall of the church at 13 School Street. The meal is free to anyone that suffers from hunger and need.
    Additional free meals will be offered on Aug. 27, Sept. 17, Oct. 29 and Nov. 26. For more information, call 859-823-1303.

  • Lessons from a little black dress

    A few months ago I bought an LBD, a “little black dress.” All good fashionistas know that every woman needs at least one LBD in her closet, because you never know when a museum opening or semi-formal awards banquet will spontaneously break out.

    I bought it at a thrift store for only $35, but that’s not the point, neither is the fact that I will most likely never wear it.

    Christ Community
    • Last Sunday, Rhonda spoke on the Passover described in Exodus 12, and the price that Christ Jesus paid for our redemption.
    • Mondays -  “Stepping into Freedom” at 6 p.m. A class for those who need help in becoming free from any bondages that one may be experiencing in life.
    • Wednesdays - Bible study at  7 p.m. in the sanctuary, with Kid Zone and Youth meeting on the lower level.

  • Going to church is exciting!

    As a child, I remember each Sunday getting up and doing what we did each and every Sunday. We went to church. There was an unspoken reality that when Sunday came we would make the journey about 20 miles from our house to the little church I grew up in. Going to church was really a non negotiable. It really wasn’t anything we even discussed.

    Christ Community
    • Last Sunday, Tom Thoburn spoke for the morning service using The Lord’s Prayer for his text. When Bro. Tom finished speaking, Rhonda sang “The Lord’s Prayer.”
    • Mondays - The “Stepping into Freedom” small group is growing. It is held at 6:30 p.m. at the church, 139 N. Main Street. If you have any kind of problem or you feel you are struggling with any type of bondage, this class is for you. For more information, call 959-824-1824.

  • POTTER’S HOUSE CALLS PASTOR

    The Potter’s House has called Charles Courtney as its new pastor effective June 26.

    The church is located at 115 S. Main Street in Crittenden (the lower level of the Family Dollar Store).

    Morning worship will begin at 10:30 a.m. and everyone is invited to attend the worship and fellowship service. Evening service begins at 6 p.m.
