    • December is the beginning of the story of Jesus Christ’s Birth. God is life. He made the heavens and earth for us to understand his word through Jesus. We should follow his teachings. Where there is a true believer Christ is present. The gospel or God’s word is for all people.

  • Making Christmas more Christ, less mess

The truth of our Christmas season is that we have let it become more about the “kings” of this world than about the coming of Christ the King.

Indeed, the Christmas season has become something other than what Christ himself would want for us. We spend much of our time and money shopping for extravagant presents for people who already have more than they need.

  • Not proud but thankful

Thanksgiving and pride cannot exist together.  Pride is a common problem.  Pride is something that can be misunderstood.  We are proud of our kids, our family, our church, our schools etc….

We feel good about many things and we take pride in them. However, pride is something that can be destructive.  Pride comes before a fall (Proverbs 16).

    •   Thanksgiving is a good time to express your appreciation to our heavenly Father not only for His provision for our needs, but for sending His precious son, Jesus Christ, to the cross to die for our redemption and healing. Let’s be forever grateful.

  • I’m not sinning... I have a disease!

Lewis came to me the other day and after admitting that he had used an illegal drug he said, “I can’t help it. I know I shouldn’t hang out with those guys but they are my friends. Besides that, I have a “ompulsive disease” that I cannot control and this “disease”  is incurable, progressive and fatal. My addictions counselor at church even told me so! I can’t help it! I can’t control it! I will always have it, and will probably go back to using drugs from time to time.”

    • Sunday evenings are mostly devoted to prayer as we seek God to save souls and heal the hurting at 6 p.m.
