  • ‘Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done.’

    Sometimes, we catch glimpses of God’s kingdom springing up around us when we least expect it.  We see it in ourselves when we learn to overcome adversity, we see it in others when they do deeds of kindness, and we sometimes see it in the beauty of God’s creation.

    Last summer, I served as a consultant with Kentucky Appalachian Ministries, a ministry of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Kentucky and witnessed a lucky glimpse of God’s kingdom here on earth.

  • Super Survivor Sunday is May 5

    Nearly everyone knows someone who has been impacted by cancer.
    In honor of cancer survivors, caregivers and family and friends affected by cancer, Sunday, May 5 has been designated as Super Survivor Sunday by the Grant County Relay For Life Committee.
    The Grant County Relay For Life Committee is encouraging all Grant County churches to recognize and honor their cancer survivors in some way on Sunday, May 5 for Super Survivor Sunday.
